MISSING POOLE MAN – APPEAL FOR HELP FROM THE PUBLIC Police in Poole are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of an elderly missing man – with a picture of the man being released. John Telling, 86 years old, was last seen at his home address in the Creekmoor area at 4.30am today, Tuesday 18 June 2013 and was noticed missing at 7.30am. Chief Inspector Debbie Marsden, of Dorset Police, said: “I understand that John has not been well and his family are understandably concerned that he may come to some harm. “He has gone missing without any money and he does not have a phone.”

Distraction Burglary Near Dorchester - Appeal

Police in Dorchester are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after a distraction burglary in a village near the town. The incident happened at 8.30am on Friday 31 May 2013 at premises in Winterbourne Steepleton. The victim, a woman in her 90s, paid cash to the offender for work that was not completed. She was not threatened or injured. Police Constable Jess Chapman, of Dorchester police, said: “This is a deplorable crime against an elderly lady. “The man offered to complete some jobs around the house, he persuaded her to give him an unnecessary amount of cash for parts but he never returned.” The offender is described as a white man in his late 30s, of stocky build with a round face. He has short dark hair and was wearing a dark coloured boiler suit. PC Chapman continued: “Further enquiries have revealed that he may have been driving a white pickup truck. “I am appealing for anyone who recalls any suspicious activity in the area at the time and anyone with any information about those responsible to contact police.”

PUBLIC HELP SOUGHT TO TRACE MISSING WOMAN Dorset Police is appealing for help from the public to find a missing woman – with a picture being released. Zara Broughton, 28, was last seen at an address in Wimborne at 10.30pm on Thursday 30 May 2013 when she left the premises driving a black Renault Clio. Today, Monday 3 June 2013, the vehicle was reported to police as abandoned at the car park at the Durdle Door campsite. Inspector Kevin Landsdale, of Dorset Police, said: “Enquiries have revealed that the car has been there since Saturday 1 June 2013.

Appeal After Collision In Harmans Cross, Swanage

Officers in Swanage are appealing for anyone with information to come forward after a road traffic collision involving two cars in the town – with one man being arrested. The incident happened at around 7.05am on Monday 13 May 2013 at Harmans Cross. A black Fiat Punto registered to a Swanage woman and a black Volkswagen Golf registered to a Swanage man collided causing extensive damage to a fence, bus stop and a post-box. A 34-year-old man was taken to Poole Hospital as a precaution, but nobody was seriously injured.

Overnight Crime Spree In Swanage - Witness Appeal

Police in Swanage are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward following a series of burglaries and car crimes in the town. The incidents happened some time overnight between 5pm on Tuesday 7 May and 7.30am on Wednesday 8 May 2013. A number of cars, garages and sheds were broken into on Bon Accord Road, Queens Road, Manor Road, Russell Avenue and Stafford Road. Police Constable Simon Colvin, of Purbeck police, said: “At approximately 12.20am a prowler was disturbed on Manor Road. He can be described as a white man in his 20s, approximately five feet nine inches tall, of slight build with short dark hair. He was wearing a body warmer and a dark coloured fleece. “Later that morning, at approximately 2.20am, offenders were disturbed while breaking into a vehicle on Bon Accord Road. They ran away and dropped a bag of stolen property which was recovered. There are no descriptions apart from that one was wearing a hat. “I am appealing for anyone who witnessed these incidents or recalls any suspicious activity in the area to contact Dorset Police.

Renewed Appeal To Trace Missing Poole Man

Concern is increasing for the welfare of a man missing from Poole and police are renewing their appeal for public help to trace him – releasing new information and another picture. Richard Gibbons, 54 years old, was last seen at his home address in the Alderney area in the early hours of Thursday 18 April 2013. He has been upset recently and his family are concerned that he may come to some harm. Sergeant Steve Lyne, of Dorset Police, said: “By 7am Richard had left his home and it is not known where he went. “Following the last appeal, information has been received that Richard may have been in the Wareham area at approximately 12.15pm on Thursday 25 April 2013. “A man fitting Richard’s description was seen getting on the Dorchester Community bus, number 104, outside Barclays Bank on North Street.” Richard is white, five feet seven inches tall, of a slight build, with mid brown shoulder length hair.

Appeal - Have You Seen Allan Campbell?

Wiltshire Police are appealing for information on the location of Allan Campbell aged 39. Officers are very keen to speak to Allan in relation to a number of canal boat burglaries which have occurred in Wiltshire and other force areas. He is described as white, 6’ 2” tall, of proportionate build and has numerous tattoos on his arms, hands, chest and back. A photograph of Allan Campbell is above. He has no fixed address and is believed to have been in the Warwickshire area recently but may have moved on.

New Deputy Chief Constable Announced For Dorset

On Friday, 22 March 2013, Dorset Police announced the appointment of Mr James Vaughan as the new Deputy Chief Constable for the Force. James Vaughan is currently the Assistant Chief Constable of Dorset Police and will take up his appointment as the Deputy Chief Constable on 1 May this year. Chief Constable, Debbie Simpson said: “I am delighted to announce that Mr Vaughan has been successful in his application as the new Deputy Chief Constable for Dorset Police.

Jade Clark Fatal Collision - Man Charged

Police investigating a fatal road traffic collision have charged a man with causing death by careless driving, failing to stop and driving while disqualified. Sixteen-year-old Jade Clark was struck by a Volvo XC90 as she rode her moped along the A31 near Ashley Heath at 8.23pm on Sunday 24 February 2013. She died at the scene as a result of a severe head injury. Brian Hampton, a 58-year-old Kent man, was arrested at an address in the Ashford area at around 10am on Thursday 21 March 2013. A Volvo XC90 was also seized. Hampton was charged this evening with three offences – causing death by careless driving, failing to stop and driving while disqualified. He will appear at Bournemouth Magistrates Court tomorrow, Saturday 23 March 2013.

Police in Dorchester are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after a burglary in a village near the town – with an image of a stolen item being released. The incident happened sometime between 12.50pm on Tuesday 12 February 2013 and 1pm on Thursday 14 February 2013 in Winterbourne Steepleton. Police Constable Dave Williams, of Dorchester police, said: “During this burglary a family heirloom – a carved Black Forest wooden coat and umbrella stand with bears – was stolen.

Concern For Elderly Missing Beaminster Woman

Police in Beaminster are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of a missing 76-year-old woman – with officers appealing for help from the public. Sara Taylor of Beaminster has been missing from her home in the town since around 3pm today, Thursday 28 February 2013. Inspector Bob Jacobs said: "I understand that Sara can be easily confused and her family are understandably concerned that she may come to some harm.

Witness Appeal After Theft At Dorchester Shop

Officers in Dorchester are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after a theft from a mobile phone shop in the town centre. The incident happened at around 5.15pm on Tuesday 19 February 2013 at Vodafone Ltd along Cornhill. Four unknown men entered the store just before closing and stole a number of dummy phones, display mobiles and two iPads.
