Capture a Different View of the Jurassic Coast

A new competition has been launched to find stunning images of the Jurassic Coast. The 2013 Jurassic Coast Award is a photography competition open to all and with cash prizes totalling £1,800. The competition will celebrate the internationally recognised Dorset and East Devon Coast World Heritage Site (The Jurassic Coast) and is endorsed by the Jurassic Coast Trust (JCT). The competition is an opportunity to capture the unique visual appeal of the coastline in all its aspects and changeable character.

Open exhibition at Dorset County Museum: 22 September to 20 October 2012 The Dorchester Art Club began life in the early 1950s as an informal group of a dozen or so amateur artists with an annual subscription of half a guinea (52 ½ pence in current money). This year the club is holding its 56th Open Exhibition in the County Museum and has a current membership of over 100, each paying £25 per year.
