Astonishing Comments from Offending Drivers

The ‘no excuse’ team remains committed to making Dorset’s roads safer and improving the habits of bad and inconsiderate drivers – despite being astounded by some of the comments they hear from offending motorists. The ‘no excuse’ team processed a further 957 offences in March 2012 which brings the total number of offences processed so far this year – from 1 January to 31 March 2012 – to 4,067.

CCTV Appeal After Assault in Bournemouth

Detectives in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after an assault in the town centre – with officers releasing an image of a man who may be able to assist with their enquiries. Between 2am and 2.10am on Saturday 7 April 2012 a 29-year-old man from Poole was assaulted by another man with a knife outside the Alika night club in Hurn House along Christchurch Road.

DNA Grease Used in Fight Against Metal Theft

Police in Poole are targeting metal thieves by applying DNA marking grease to metal on properties which will then assist in catching and convicting offenders. The local Community Safety Partnership (CSP) has funded the purchase of the grease, which has been applied to a number of sites across Poole. The grease contains microdots which bear a unique batch reference number.

The first part takes place on Saturday 5th May from 10am to 4pm and consists of a theory presentation which highlights the causes of accidents and the theory of advanced riding.

POLICE RENEW APPEAL FOR MISSING BOURNEMOUTH MAN Dorset Police are issuing a renewed appeal for information in helping find a missing Bournemouth man – almost a year on since his disappearance. Jurij Sliachtecov, a 21-year-old Lithuanian of St. Peter’s Road, was reported missing just before 5pm on Sunday 1 May 2011.

Missing Girl - Newbury

Thames Valley Police is appealing for the public’s help in finding a girl who has been reported missing from Newbury. Stacie Richardson, aged 15, was last seen by her family at her home address in the Chaddleworth area of Newbury on Monday 9th April. PC Nigel Woodall of Newbury CID, said: “Although Stacie has been missing previously, there has always been some contact with her parents; however this time there has been no contact whatsoever. Because of this, her parents are extremely worried about Stacie and they, and the police, are keen to locate Stacie safely.”
